Education

Marissa Prizio attended the University of New Hampshire and earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Animal Science. After her graduation in 2019, she worked as a veterinary technician for over a year. During this time, she expanded her working knowledge of veterinary medicine and worked closely with pet owners.

About

Marissa has always enjoyed writing; she was even mixing literature classes into her science major in college. During her writing career, she has edited eBooks, written for a variety of websites, and created audio-visual courses for sustainability. She also has a strong passion for improving the human-animal bond, which is something she has had extensive experience with during her academic years. While she is happy to learn and write about new topics, her topics of interest include anything in relation to animals of the environment.

Luckily, these two passions mix well. In every written article she produces, the quality and reliability of information are always prioritized. She hopes to help people become better pet parents and simultaneously improve pets’ quality of life by educating the public about the animal companions they love.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her bearded dragon, rock climbing, and reading. To her, life is an adventure that is best experienced when you can share it with your pets!
