7+ years of experience as a veterinarian surgeon
Growing up on a farm in Ireland, Dr. Grey studied Microbiology and Veterinary Medicine in University College Dublin, Ireland. Edele attained honors in her degrees and then in a Post-Graduate Certificate in Equine Sports Medicine while working full-time as a veterinary surgeon.
Currently working in clinical practice, Edele is also studying towards Advanced Practitioner Status with the RCVS with further studies planned. Edele enjoys working with a variety of species, including production, companion, and exotic species; her current employment is primarily equine lameness and surgery.
Graduating in 2013, Edele has had a passion for writing and education, further stimulated during the completion of an Internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery within the University of Liverpool’s Equine Hospital, UK. Since graduation, she has continued to write for scientific journals and websites primarily aimed towards maximizing the pet-owner bond and welfare through education accessible to everyone.
Driving around with her canine side-kick, a middle-aged, Weimaraner, Purdy, Edele spends her limited free time outdoors with her three horses, hiking and traveling back home to Ireland to spend time with family. Edele also interested in neonatology, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and recognizing and managing pain in both equine and production animal species.
