Small Animal Veterinarian

Dr. Barnette is a small animal veterinarian with 14 years of clinical experience in small animal general practice. She currently divides her time between part-time clinical practice and freelance writing, while also volunteering in her community. Her primary medical interests are preventive medicine and client education.

Education:

Dr. Barnette received both her Bachelor of Science degree in zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida.

Experience:

She has practiced in North Carolina and worked for Banfield from 2010 to 2013, then returned to Banfield in 2015. Now Dr. Barnett works in Mooresville, NC at Banfield Pet Hospital on the position of part-time associate veterinarian at a corporate practice with an emphasis on canine and feline preventive medicine.
